On 1962 brothers Julio and Juan Genoud established GENOUD Hnos.
This company was situated on Haedo, Buenos Aires, engage in manufacturing car's lights switches, registering its products under GENOUD brand.
On 1980's they started manufacturing Ditributor Caps, being the first on working with polyester with copper contacts, establishing the well known blue cap product.
This familiar company rised year by year and on 1983 it was moved to San Justo where a new beginning with new products lines where waiting for it. The company changed it's name to FAREA S.R.L. and on 2003 finally changed to FAREA S.A.
It constant progress took FAREA S.A. to an actual stock of more than 1000 different products, including Distributor Caps, Insulation Covers, Ignition Wires and Distributor Pick Ups under brands GENOUD y STARYEN.
